TITOLO: Conservare il Futuro,
il pensiero della sostenibilità in architettura
EDITORE: Il Poligrafo
INFO: 256 Pages, ill.
LINGUA: Italian
ISBN: 978-88-7115-768-9
PREZZO: €24,00

all’Università Iuav di Venezia.
illustrati in riviste italiane e internazionali.
complessiva di Roma dal 1676 al 1748 (in Metamorfosi delle città, Scheiwiller, Milano 1995);
Le origini dell’architettura (con L. Benevolo, Laterza, Roma-Bari 2002).

Show me your t-shirts and I’ll tell you who you are. Today’s t-shirts are projection screens for styles, thoughts, and attitudes; they are wearable calling cards. Wearers and designers of t-shirts define themselves through the featured visual codes and messages and are constantly trying to outdo each other when it comes to who has the most original ideas.
Torso presents t-shirts whose motifs not only function as a means of personal communication, but also reflect and increasingly influence the complete spectrum of modern graphic design. As the first book to focus on t-shirts created by the most innovative and style-setting brands, it is the definitive guide to t-shirt culture.

Today's designers and illustrators are synthesizing the best elements from past eras of graphic design to create a new visual language with a reduced and rational approach. The Modernist documents this uniquely contemporary, yet timeless aesthetic that is built upon the rediscovery and seamless melding of classical type elements and collage of the 1950s, the geometric patterns and graphic elements of the 1960s and 1970s, and the vector graphics and computer-aided montage of the 1990s. With its fresh perspective on the legacy of past craftsmanship and quality in outstanding current work, The Modernist expands our understanding of what modern graphic design can be. More Info about "The Modernist"
After going through an eclectic, baroque, and iconic phase, today's design is again taking its visual cues from functionalism and pragmatism. Young graphic designers and illustrators are working in a way that is influenced by the principles of classic modernism. They avoid excess or exaggeration to create enduring work of the highest quality.
